Nando Kobo&#8217;s Struggle Chronicle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last time, I <a href=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/repair\/failed-iphone-se2-battery-swap\/\">attempted to replace the battery of an iPhone SE2 (2020)<\/a>, but made a critical mistake during the repair by severing the cable connected to the front camera, front sensor, and speaker&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So this time, my goal is a complete revival by replacing that cable!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Trying Again with a Newly Purchased Cable!<\/h2>\n<p>I proceeded with the repair using a newly purchased cable from AliExpress. However, another trouble occurred during the work!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When removing the cable from the iPhone body, I didn&#8217;t notice that the sensor had detached from the cable and remained stuck inside the body, and I blindly forced it back together during reassembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The result was&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>While the front camera became usable normally, the speaker wouldn&#8217;t sound\u2014a disappointing outcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Cause Revealed by Re-disassembly<\/h2>\n<p>To investigate the cause, I disassembled it once more and found that the sensor had indeed been left behind inside the body!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410.jpg\" alt=\"Sensor\" width=\"573\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410.jpg 573w, https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410-300x241.jpg 300w, https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410-530x425.jpg 530w, https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/IMG_00751-e1733375290410-565x454.jpg 565w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Though it was a delicate task, I carefully removed the sensor using an awl and reassembled everything again.<\/li>\n<li>After reassembly, the speaker successfully started working this time, what a relief!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>After the Repair&#8230; A New Problem Discovered<\/h2>\n<p>Just as I felt relieved that the speaker issue was resolved, a new phenomenon occurred where the home button started registering ghost double-clicks&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This makes the phone way too inconvenient to use, so my next repair project will likely be &#8220;Home Button Repair.&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Lessons and Reflections from This Time<\/h2>\n<p>Looking back at this work, I gained the following lessons:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Always double-check where components are left behind during disassembly<\/li>\n<li>Do not force parts into place; carefully resolve issues one by one<\/li>\n<li>Even if a repair doesn&#8217;t go well, the mindset of applying those lessons next time is crucial<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Next time, I plan to attempt repairing the home button!<\/p>\n<p>Repairs are a repetition of challenges and failures, but the joy when you succeed is incomparable.
