Causes and Solutions for the &#8220;GPU Configuration Warning&#8221; Error"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since I developed a new plugin for my Minecraft Paper server, I figured, &#8220;I might as well make an introduction video for it since I have the chance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a while since I last did any video editing, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out a new editing software. I decided to use <strong>DaVinci Resolve<\/strong>, which I&#8217;ve been interested in for a while and is reputed to be both free and highly functional.<\/p>\n<p>Everything went smoothly up until the installation, but when I tried to launch it for the first time, an unexpected error prevented it from working.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>GPU Configuration Warning \u2014 NVIDIA driver is incompatible.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In this article, I will summarize the cause of this error and how to resolve it.<\/p>\n<h2>Cause of the Error<\/h2>\n<p>Judging from the warning message displayed, the core of the issue seemed to lie with CUDA (NVIDIA&#8217;s GPU computing API).<br \/>\nIt appears that DaVinci Resolve uses CUDA for high-speed processing.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 1.6rem;\">However, older NVIDIA drivers do not include the required CUDA version, causing an issue where Resolve cannot utilize the GPU properly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This was precisely the case this time, as conditions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An outdated driver<\/li>\n<li>Not updating for a long period<\/li>\n<li>Windows Update applying an older driver<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>overlapped and likely prevented Resolve from launching.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0b9caee45a30d6ca825216bbdf1aaf3c.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2448\" src=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0b9caee45a30d6ca825216bbdf1aaf3c.png\" alt=\"GPU Configuration Warning \u2014 NVIDIA driver is incompatible.\" width=\"506\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0b9caee45a30d6ca825216bbdf1aaf3c.png 506w, https:\/\/donguri3.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0b9caee45a30d6ca825216bbdf1aaf3c-300x120.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Solution: Updating the Driver via GeForce Experience =&gt;
