Video Released: Building a Compact Cyclone Dust Collector

I built a space-saving dust collector for small workshops. Here is a recap with additional details.
Video Overview
Design and Materials
- I used a small cylinder instead of a bucket to save space.
- The cyclone body was 3D-printed.
- The cylinder and hoses came from a 100-yen shop.
Assembly
- The video explains how the cyclone works and examines its performance.
Results
- Too much debris at once caused clogging and prevented separation. Gradual intake worked.
- Tests with wood chips and fine dust showed a high separation rate.
Additional Notes
The prototype had problems. Gaps at the hose connections reduced suction, so I redesigned the parts to account for 3D-printing tolerances. Hose length and routing matter; an overly long hose weakens suction.
The collector fits under the workbench, making better use of workspace.
